 | New - John Hayes Portrait Artist Making Memories into Beautiful Works Of Art |
Champagne scribbles "John Hayes has been semi retired for a few years having spent most of his working life as a precision engineer. Working in this environment gave John a keen eye for fine detail which is reflected in his dramatic and remarkable drawing style. Unlike most artists John has had no formal training, he is entirely self taught with a natural talent for producing exceptional artwork.
Working from clear professional photographs he produces fabulous single or group portraits of cherished people and occasions including bridal portraits.

After leaving engineering he took his love of pencil drawing more seriously and refined his technique to achieve the photo realistic images that he produces today. It is not then hard to believe that John was soon drawing portraits for friends, family and work colleagues with most of his work coming from recommendations alone.
About two years ago a work colleague asked John to draw his Morris Minor saloon, he found that the techniques he applied to drawing portraits worked equally well for drawing cars. Since then John has produced a portfolio of classic, vintage and modern cars.
John has had several commissions, his work has been used in classic car magazines and has now been elected a member of The Guild of Motoring Artists.
