Singer Cheryl Tweedy and England footballer Ashley Cole married this weekend, but not where the press expected them to be - in the grounds of Berkshire's famous Highclere Castle.
The Castle hosted Jordan's wedding to Peter Andre last year and was the setting for the film Gosford Park.
The ceremony had been switched to Wrotham Hall a month previous, with Highclere's owner asked not to let on. The press were understandibly bemused and OK Magazine who paid around £1M for the rights had a clear run on the day.
Sarah Harding, Cheryl's Girls Aloud bandmate was bridesmaid with the groom's brother Mathew as best man with five ushers in brown suits and pink ties.
Security was tight at the event with Cheryl arriving in a horsedrawn carriage with blacked out windows, and security staff held sheets to mask her enterance from prying cameras. For those that managed a fleeting glimpse of the bride, she was wearing a full length cream silk dress laced with Swarovski crystals. The seven bridesmaides wore full length strapless fuschia silk dresses.
The reception was held in Wrotham Park mansion with a 500ft marquee to accomodate the 150 or so guests.
